Passport Academy Celebrates Charter Renewal Following #BackPACS Movement

We are thrilled to announce that Passport Academy has secured a five-year renewal of its charter following a vote by the Pittsburgh Public Schools (PPS) Board of Public Education on Wednesday, September 25.

What the Charter Renewal Means:

This decision extends our charter through the 2028-2029 school year, ensuring that we can continue to provide a supportive, alternative learning environment where students are empowered to walk across the stage and proudly earn their high school diplomas.

The renewal is a powerful affirmation of the vital role Passport Academy plays in the Pittsburgh community. We are committed to helping students to succeed, many of whom face unique challenges in traditional school settings. Our flexible, student-centered approach continues to make a meaningful impact, and we are deeply grateful that the PPS Board of Public Education has recognized this by voting in favor of our renewal.
